Shrey is a dynamic award-winning Actor who rose to prominence as the runner-up on "The 5 Search" (2015) at just 19 years old. 

He honed his craft with a BA in Theatre (Acting) and Cinema & Media Studies from the University of Southern California, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was named a Renaissance Scholar. He was also the only actor of Asian origin to be awarded the coveted Ruth & Albert McKinlay Award for Best Actor upon graduation.

During his time at USC, Shrey trained under many prominent practitioners in Hollywood, including Kate Burton (Grey’s Anatomy; Scandal), Joseph Hacker (S.W.A.T; Charlie’s Angels) and John DeMita (Naruto).

Upon graduating from USC, Shrey took part in Warner Brothers TV’s worldwide open casting call for 2020 graduates and was named a finalist.

Since then, Shrey has delivered captivating performances on Singaporean TV. From a witty colonial lawyer in the award-winning This Land is Mine (2021), the quiet but explosive tech-genius-turned-terrorist in the acclaimed series Third Rail(2022), to the hyper-eccentric yet lovable 60s film director in the highest rated Titoudao: Dawn of a New Stage (2023), Shrey’s versatile range is impressive.

For his role in the latter, Shrey was awarded the National Winner for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Asian Academy Creative Awards.

Likewise in theatre and film – from the fiery dacoit, Jugga Badmash, in the acclaimed Train to Pakistan (2024) to the young queer Punjabi son, Narain, in Lizard on The Wall (2017). His portrayal of a radical opposition politician in The Singapore Trilogy (2021) was also lauded by ArtsEquator as “by far the best performance in the production”.

Shrey is currently hosting Singapore’s longest running current affairs infotainment show, Talking Point, and is starring in Eclipse, a one-man show written by Cultural Medallion winner, Haresh Sharma.
